Unique artistic decor including local art, inviting bar atmosphere with a roaring fire, ample parking facilities
The rooms could benefit from updates and better insulation to address cold temperatures at night!!! Traffic noise from the street is noticeable, impacting the overall comfort during sleep!!!

Being located right on the high street, the noise from traffic was a constant issue throughout the night. The traditional windows didn't do much to drown out the sounds of cars racing by. The room had a peculiar smell, seemingly emanating from the bathroom, quite off-putting. There was also no milk for the tea and coffee, and strangely, no glasses for the bottled water provided. The breakfast experience was disappointing, with undercooked items that didn't seem up to par with the price point of the stay.

Nice stay, but food could improve
Had a good night in a comfy twin room. The showers were great and there was secure bike storage, which we loved since we were biking. The beer and food in the bar area were decent, but service was kinda slow and the food was a bit pricey for what you got. Could use a better vegetarian menu, too.

definitely coming here again
The beautiful twin room was spacious with a tv, electric kettle, and fresh milk in a flask. The shower was great, and the bedding was so comfy. Breakfast had award-winning black pudding and locally sourced produce. The pub atmosphere was inviting with local ales and a roaring fire. I really enjoyed the cozy setting and friendly locals.

The stay was quite pleasant, and I particularly enjoyed the well-decorated common areas that added a cozy touch. The food was tasty, though I found breakfast a bit slow to arrive on the weekend, but still satisfying. One highlight was the excellent service from the staff, which really made us feel welcomed during our visit. The noise from the kitchen during breakfast was a bit distracting, but it didn’t overshadow the overall experience.
